ITMA

Fundación ITMA is integrated in the Technological Centres Network of the Principality of Asturias (Spain) under the legal personality of a private foundation without profitable aims. It started doing R+D+I and offering services to companies in 1991, first as an association of companies and then, after a short transitional period, as a foundation. In the year 2005, Fundación ITMA started managing two Technological Centres: the Non Metallic Materials Technological Centre, at the historic location in Llanera and the newly built Steel and Metallic Materials Technological Centre, located in Avilés. Both centres are under the control of the Managing Board of the Fundación ITMA.

The objective of Fundación ITMA is to actively contribute to the development of society at large, being an engine for industrial growth in the production, transformation and application of materials and raw materials.

Fundación ITMA is registered under the number 33/FDC0031 in the Register of Teaching and Cultural Foundations of General Interest of the Principality of Asturias.
